Nursing Services
- Comprehensive cardiopulmonary assessment by experienced CCU RNs who have extensive knowledge of heart and lung disease processes and appropriate nursing and medical interventions.
- IV medicines/infusions
- Case management
Therapeutics
Treatments that may be needed at home include:
- IV diuretics (such as Lasix, to remove excess fluid)
- IV infusions when IV diuretics aren't effective
- Oxygen therapy
- IV antibiotics
- Oral/IV medication adjustments and monitoring
These treatments are ordered by your doctor and are arranged for and administered by your nurse.
Diagnostics and Telemonitoring
CVHC nurses are equipped with the most up-to-date technology for performing home health care including:
- Home telemonitoring
- Heart rhythm monitoring
- PT/INR testing
- Clinical laboratory services
- Oxygen saturation determinations/monitoring
- Chest x-rays coordinated by CVHC
Ancillary Services
CVHC provides the full range of professional services necessary for effective home health care
- Home health aide - assist you to bathe and dress until you are able to do it safely and independently
- Medical Social Services - assist you to obtain and coordinate the resources you need for your health care
- Physical Therapist - work with you to prevent falls at home; improve your health condition through strength and mobility improvement;arrange for equipment such as walkers, canes, etc. and teach their proper use
- Occupational Therapist - assist with arm & shoulder activities, teach safe techniques for dressing, bathing, moving with walkers, canes, etc.
- Speech Therapist- evaluate and treat speech and swallowing disorders; improve memory and cognitive functioning
- Medical equipment and supplies - are coordinated for delivery to the home for you by CVHC as ordered by your doctor
